Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Twine. Twine is operated by Build Stuff Fast LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Twine", "we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the twine.id website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in certain jurisdictions) to use our Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to buy a domain or any other paid service. Registering a domain is a binding contract with the domain registrar, and registrars require registrants to be adults. By making a purchase, you represent that you meet this requirement.

User Accounts

To use the Service you create an account by signing in with a supported provider. You are responsible for safeguarding access to the accounts you sign in with and for all activities that occur under your Twine account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to disable accounts that violate these Terms.

Sign-In With Third-Party Providers

You create an account and sign in using third-party providers. Google Sign-In is supported today; additional providers (such as Apple, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, GitHub, TikTok, and phone) may be offered over time. When you authenticate through a third-party provider, you agree to that provider's terms of service and privacy policy. We receive limited profile information (such as name, email, and profile picture) from these providers solely for account creation, sign-in, and the account signals described in the Service.

Your use of Google Sign-In is subject to the Google Terms of Service. The availability of a sign-in option does not imply endorsement by that platform. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services.

If you sign in with Facebook, the Meta Terms of Service also apply. If you verify an Instagram account by sending a code to our Instagram account, @twinedotid, the Instagram Terms of Use apply to those messages. Verifying shows that you can use that Instagram account; it gives Twine no access to it.

Domains and Email

The Service lets you register domain names, connect domains you already own, and send and receive email at those domains. Domain registrations are placed with an accredited registrar on your behalf and are subject to the registry's own policies and to ICANN requirements, including the requirement to provide accurate registrant contact information. Registration periods, renewal dates, and expiration behavior are shown in the Service; a domain that is not renewed expires and may become available to others.

You agree not to use Twine email to send spam, unsolicited bulk mail, or deceptive messages. We enforce sending limits, suppression of addresses that bounce or complain, and other measures that protect recipients and the deliverability of every customer. We may suspend sending for a domain that violates these rules.

Scores and Signals

The Service computes a Twine Score and related signals from the accounts you connect, the domains you hold, and optional verification steps. These signals are informational. They are not a guarantee of any person's conduct, creditworthiness, or trustworthiness, and we make no warranties regarding their completeness, reliability, or accuracy. Anyone relying on them does so at their own judgment.

User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of any content you create, upload, or submit through the Service ("User Content"), including profile pages, links, and the contents of mail you send. By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content solely in connection with operating and improving the Service.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all necessary rights to submit it. You agree not to submit content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable, without prior notice.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent who is behind an account or domain
  • Connect or verify an account you don't own or control, or help someone else pass a verification for an account that isn't theirs
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or computer systems
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Service or interfere with other users
  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Transmit any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, or spam
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access the Service without our written permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

Third-Party Services and Links

Our Service integrates with and may contain links to third-party websites, services, and content. These include sign-in providers, Stripe for payment processing and optional ID verification, an accredited domain registrar, DNS and hosting providers, and email delivery services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, privacy practices, or terms of service. Your interactions with third-party services are governed by their respective terms and policies.

Payments and Purchases

Certain features, most notably domain registrations and renewals, require payment. Card payments are processed securely through Stripe. Purchases made through our API may also be paid in USDC on a supported blockchain; a blockchain payment is final and can't be reversed or charged back. By making a purchase, you agree to pay all applicable fees and authorize us to charge your chosen payment method. Prices are subject to change. Renewal terms, billing periods, and any promotional pricing are shown before you buy, and refund terms are stated at the time of purchase. Domain registrations are placed with the registry immediately and generally cannot be reversed once registered.

Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by Twine and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, unless permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TWINE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Twine and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us or using the account tools in your settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Domains registered through the Service remain subject to the registry's rules after your account closes.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will remain in effect, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Wyoming, and you and we consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing in this section takes away any protection you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live that cannot be waived by agreement. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Twine regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements or communications.
